As ridiculous as it was, Sally was slightly offended by Wayne saying the carton was stupid. "It was your idea to be milk and cookies," Sally muttered.
Sally felt this very strong urge to bang her head on the bedpost. "Yeah, I can really feel that you're happy for me." Sally wiped away her tears. If Wayne was going to be an arse about this, she was not going to cry over it. "Look, it's not like its going to change anything with us. You're still my best friend, and I'll still want to spend all my time with you, so why does it matter anyway?" Sally just wanted to know. She wanted to know why it mattered, wanted to know why Wayne was acting like this. This was almost a cruel joke on Wayne's part, he knew how curious she was about everything.
