Who: Verity and Open What: Scavenging costumes by firelight Where: Hufflepuff Common Room When: Late Wednesday night
The Hufflepuff common room had been a happening place all day and well into the evening. Hufflepuff students were (as a whole) sociable if quiet. Hufflepuff alumni were (as a whole) people who were used to working hard every day of their lives, and not sure about how to put aside those habits. So all day there had been a constant trickle of people coming in and out of the common room.
As much as Verity had enjoyed that, after a few days, she decided that what she needed was a little quiet.
So, today, she'd slept through much of the day, aided more by thick bedcurtains and a lifetime of living in the close quarters than by any particularly effective silencing spells. She'd only gotten up when everyone else was settling in for the night. Verity took up one of the costumes that the alumni were making from its place in the large basket to work on by firelight in the- now probably empty- common room.
