Quirking a brow at Perks' question, Julian cupped a hand around his chin. Brow furrowed, he mused on her meaning. His story? Did she mean literally, as in his whole life? Or was it more figurative, like who was he and how did he know Astoria? It seemed Astoria was also waiting for a response, and Julian couldn't shake the feeling that he was about to be fed to the sharks. Talk about pressure.
"My story?" he repeated, contemplating an answer. "It's nothing worth telling. And what about yours, Miss Perks? I think yours would be much more entertaining."
Perks already seemed more entertaining than Julian was - not to say Julian was boring, per se. But it was more that Julian didn't make much of an effort to amuse people when others could amuse him so much better. People were so interesting, it took effort not to be entertained by them.
But that was besides the point.
"How do you two know each other?" he asked. "You seem very close."
And wasn't that an understatement. He had never seen Astoria act like this before with another Slytherin.
