Halting in his casual stroll, Julian looked over his shoulder to see who had shouted for him before turning fully around. He walked over to meet with her, smiling warmly all the while. Being in the same house certainly helped give them something in common, but Julian was sure they'd be good acquaintances - if not friends - even if they had been in separate houses. Astoria was easy to talk to.
"As well as can be expected," he said, shrugging his shoulders flippantly. "And how is my favorite housemate? Fine as well, I hope."
For purely selfish reasons, he hoped Astoria never became sick. Though they weren't the best of friends, Julian did genuinely enjoy sharing her company and it would be such a drag if she got sick. Julian wouldn't be able to talk with her - not even after she had been announced as well. He couldn't be too careful, and he was certainly willing to give up a few friendships in order to stay in good shape.
Of course, this sentiment went for the rest of Hogwart's populous too. The less people that became sick, the less of a chance he would get ill too. Not that he wasn't already taking as many potions as he could to ensure that he stayed healthy and didn't contract some nasty virus, but no one had to know that. He'd much prefer flying under the radar with the whole health concern thing.
