Now that things were out in the open, it seemed easier for Sorin to accept that he and Anthony were...together. People knew and while there were plenty who didn't approve and plenty who still didn't know - like his friends - it was worth it! He found himself smiling more and strangely, looking on the bright side of things for a change. Therefore, he was feeling good and didn't care much if he was breaking curfew (which he wasn't, yet). He was going to see Anthony. Granted, he had no idea how he was going to get into the Ravenclaw common room, but he figured if he knocked long and loudly enough, someone was bound to come out. And after all, it wasn't that late. He'd already given Anthony an answer about the Alumni and Halloween balls, but he wanted to discuss them in person.
So, he wound his way up the stairs and through the hallways of the castle toward where he knew Anthony would be. Somewhere along the way, a dull throbbing began behind his eyes. He groaned. Please don't let it be a vision, he begged. Please not now. And for a few moments, it didn't seem as though it would get any worse. But then came a blinding pain, blacking out his vision. Sorin bit down on his tongue in shock, tasting the sharp metallic warmth of blood in his mouth.
A broken cry left him and he hit the wall, his fingertips scraping along the stone in a desperate bid for help, his limbs jerking violently. It wasn't long before he hit the floor, spasms still wracking him. His breaths came in short, burning rasps as the vision began.
Hands pressed against glass,
mouths open in silence screaming,
the taste of panic, it's fresh and bitter,
taking the breath away. Taking their breath away.
Metallic blood in handprints left hovering in the air,
stuck to safety.
Protected.
They're protected.
The walls are closing in...
Tears flowed freely down his cheeks as he sobbed around the blood in his mind and in his mouth. Protected. They're protected. Who the fuck was protected, and from what? There was screaming and panic and blood, blood, why was there ALWAYS blood?! This vision, like the last one, was full of riddles and dark themes and what the hell did it mean?
Sorin clung to consciousness as he lay broken and shivering in the darkened hall. He only hoped it was Anthony or one of his friends that found him.
