Who: Daphne and Astoria Where: Slytherin common room When: Sunday afternoon Rating: Low Status: incomplete
On Sunday afternoon, most students were hard at work, catching up on all of the assignments they had neglected to do on Saturday or earlier that week. Daphne was not one of those students. Putting things off until the last moment had never been her style, thank you very much. It helped that she had never been the sort of student to party on weekends- horribly improper way to spend one’s time, she thought- so she had finished everything last night. So instead of work, this Sunday afternoon she was curled up on one of the chairs in the Slytherin common room, a book in her lap.
There were probably other things that she could be doing, but there was nothing especially pressing. Besides, everyone needed a day to relax, and Sunday was Daphne’s preferred day. It was nice to have a day off just before the stress of the weekdays returned, though it was still a little unsettling just how quiet the common room was with half the students gone. Not that she was complaining. A little peace and quiet had never hurt anyone, and she certainly wasn’t going to object since for once she could focus. And focused she was. She was hardly paying any attention to what was going on around her, and she didn’t even hear anyone else enter the common room.
