He stared at her in mock disbelief. "Pros to your ears falling off? Did I hear you correctly? You're mad. There is absolutely nothing good about losing your ears. I like them on my head where they belong, thank you very much." But it was hard to hold back a chuckle, even as he teased her.
He stared at her for a second, head tilted inquisitively to one side as he tried to figure out what she was talking about. But he reached out to touch her scarf nevertheless. "Oh wow," was his immediate reaction. "That is quite possibly one of the best charms invented." He had known about heating charms, of course, but he had never mastered one, and eventually he had stopped trying; there were, after all, products he could buy to deal with the cold and as money had never been an issue, it was the easier solution. "You'll have to teach me that one," he added. Or try to teach him, anyway.
