Oh. Well, not that he'd been expecting anything else, but Jamie was a little bit surprised. Then again, she hadn't said whether or not anyone had asked her. He was sure at least someone had. Luna was too nice for it to be otherwise, regardless of how odd she came off to some. He supposed she was kind of like him in that respect, although it was more awkwardness on his part than anything else. He was always bumping into people and knocking things out of their hands or spilling something on himself or saying the wrong thing or...ugh.
"Well," he said cheerily (and way too quickly), "if you change your mind about that, we could always fly solo together."
And wow, that sounded just as stupid as he'd been feeling the moment before he said it.
