Taking a piece of the chocolate, Jamie chewed thoughtfully as he settled himself into the armchair perpendicular to the large couch. His eyes followed hers to the flames, which were considerably lower than they'd been several hours before. The common room was cast in shadows, but it was homey and comfortable. Much more welcoming than his father's home, even at its dullest point.
"Couldn't get to sleep," he replied, then chuckled. "I think I sleep too much on the weekends."
Before saying anything else, he made the decision to settle another log on the grate, using the andiron to stoke the flame a little. He wanted to make sure the fresh tinder would catch and burn. When he sat back down, he studied Luna closely. She'd been a bit scarce since the beginning of term - not that she was predictable, regardless - but last year she'd just disappeared. He hadn't heard much about what had happened, only that she'd returned with Harry Potter and his friends at the battle.
"How are you?" he asked, small lines appearing between his eyes as he frowned slightly. "Are you enjoying being back?"
