Jamie was bored, as he'd told Theodore earlier. The weather outside was too dreary to spend much time there, and for most of the evening, everyone else had been off in the library finishing up last-minute work before the weekend was over. He, being the ever-fastidious student, had finished his assignments Friday night. Now he couldn't sleep. So, unsure of what else to do and not interested in waking up his dorm-mates, he retrieved the costume catalogs from the top of his trunk and headed down to the Common Room.
Dressed in a long-sleeved t-shirt and blue flannel pajama bottoms, he padded into the small ring of light cast by the fire, and oh! Someone was on the couch. It startled him and he nearly tripped over his own feet. After a moment, he realized it was Luna, and she was humming a strange, sad tune. He tilted his head to listen, unwilling to interrupt her right away. When he decided that waiting any longer would seem odd, he stepped quietly around the end of the couch.
"You're up late, Luna," he murmured, smiling congenially. "Problems sleeping?"
