There was a hint of something in Millicent's voice, but Ioan was intelligent enough to let it go as she changed the subject. The one she picked up was one he still wasn't entirely comfortable with. There were good points, though. Really good ones. He didn't have to mention the dark things still lurking in his soul.
"It's been good, so far," he said. "I've met someone I really like. But yes, it is strange. Like a different world from the last time I was here. And the rules have changed a bit, it seems."
Ioan wasn't only referring to the school rules when he said the last bit, and he wondered if she'd catch the double entendre. It was no matter; he meant it, however she took it.
"Hopefully McGonagall's death was just an aberration and we can all get back to living our lives," he finished.
