Her smile grew a bit brighter. "Really? I thought... are you sure?" Ioan and seemed convinced that leaving school was the right thing to do and as much as she had wanted to argue with him, Romilda couldn't. He knew what was best for him and his friend.
Stepping over the log carefully, she walked towards him, stopping with a few feet between them. It occurred to Romilda that she had spent the better part of the day crying and rubbing her eyes and she probably looked a mess. She had planned on looking her best the next time she saw him.
