Desiree jumped slightly when she was spoken to. It didn't bother her that someone else was there, in fact she thoroughly enjoyed human and animal company, he had just startled her. Des hadn't heard him shuffling into the hallway, nor had she heard his breath. Merlin, this view was mesmerizing! Perhaps there was a charm of some sorts on the windows? Turning, Desiree flattened her robes out of habit. There wasn't anything wrong with them, she had just been taught to always look her best. The boy's presence was a good thing, for the area Desiree had been looking out was now quite fogged due to her breath. Windows were tricky little buggers, weren't they? Offering a smile at the boy, Desiree looked him up and down. She didn't recognize him, so that only meant he wasn't in Slytherin.
"Yes, I can hardly believe this is my first time in this hallway." Looking at the boy curiously, Desiree thrust out her hand. "Desiree," she said simply. Hopefully the boy would offer up more information about himself, but for now a name would do. There was nothing quite like meeting good looking strangers in Hogwarts' hallways! Desiree felt she could rule out Ravenclaw, because surely all Ravenclaws would be studying? Gryffindor and Hufflepuff were harder, approaching a stranger was in fact, very brave, but approaching a stranger was also a kind gesture.
Squinting a bit, Desiree didn't notice a house badge on his robes. Merlin, he really was making this hard, wasn't he? It wasn't so much Desiree cared about the house this boy was in, she was just curious.
