"Just a little," she agreed softly. "I was worried about you." The truth was, Romilda had felt utterly helpless. She wanted to make Dennis feel better but didn't have any idea how to do that. She hadn't experienced anything as horrible as losing a sibling. She didn't want to insult him by telling him it was all going to be okay.
"You don't have to be there for me. I've got us covered, okay? You just worry about feeling better and I'll be here with you the whole time." Romilda knew that just because Dennis was talking to her now didn't mean he was better. It couldn't happen that quickly.
