Inside the package is a batch of a dozen Teissennau Mel, or Welsh Honey Cakes. They are somehow still warm and fresh, despite having traveled several hundred miles. The note reads as follows:
Justin,
I know we've never been close, but since you are going to be spending quite a lot of time with my best mate, I say we get to know each other better.
I apologize for missing your birthday, but it took me ages to find a proper wizarding bakery in Cardiff that sold anything other than magical goods. These are Teissennau Mel, also known as honey cakes. They're the best thing for warming the soul in trying times, I've found.
Let me know if you ever need to talk. I'll bring the firewhiskey.
Ioan
Inside is a bottle of Cariad Blush Vintage Quality Sparkling Wine (a description of which can be found here, at the bottom, and a note:
Meg,
It's not butterbeer, but you know I have to promote my country whenever I can. (drawn smiley face) I hear this is fantastic, and it does the job just as well. Enjoy and happy birthday!
