That one came out of left field somewhere and struck him right in the chest. He looked up, his mouth slightly open in surprise and eyes wide. Now who was the naive 'girl' with the silly crush? The surprise only lasted a moment though and he hoped like hell that she hadn't seen it, because ugh, how embarrassing. He wondered if she was joking, but got the sense she wouldn't do that, at least not in this situation. Recovering, he smiled.
"Your friends might not like it, you know," he said with a wink. "But I think I'd enjoy that, if you come to visit me. I'll be going home over winter hols, and you're welcome anytime. My mum loves having company over, and having someone with actual manners would make her day."
He laughed quietly, knowing what he asked was probably impossible, but pleasantly amused at finding he hoped it might happen.
"There's snowball fights and skiing and sleigh rides, and of course, singing. Anywhere you go. Mostly loudly and way off key," he said. "And half of it's in Welsh, so you if you're not familiar with the language, it sounds like a bunch of caterwauling charms going off at once."
