Tipping his face up into the breeze a little, Ioan smirked. He couldn't help it, really. Whatever time he spent with Daphne would keep him on his toes, and strangely enough, he liked that. Music was about the only challenge he'd ever faced, and that more in the getting anywhere with it than the making of it. It came naturally to him, unlike the answer to how he should act around this girl. Woman, his mental voice corrected. After all, she was older and probably more mature. But he supposed that came with running with the upper crust of the wizarding world. They didn't take lightly to childishness or fun, or so it seemed.
"Indeed," he replied. "Which is why I'm out here as well. It's too sombre. I play the blues on occasion, but I don't like living them for long periods. Life is too short, as I think everyone is learning, to be sad all the time."
He wasn't often philosophical either, but Azkaban had given him a lot of time to think. Arching his neck further, he laughed, enjoying the feeling of the sun on his face.
"Groupies?" he asked, amusement clear in his voice. "I doubt I'm as popular as all that. Wouldn't be alone much, I expect. And I do need some time to myself."
Finally, he looked over at her, curious about why she was out here and what she was reading. She didn't seem like the type of girl to spend much time outdoors, but then, there was a lot about Daphne Greengrass that surprised him.
"As we all do," he continued, watching her closely. "In which case, I hope I'm not bothering you."
