“I understand, these things happen.” He knew that people tended to do things they regretted when upset but that didn’t explain why he felt so… disappointed at her reaction. All he knew was that he’d enjoyed it, maybe it was only because he was feeling so low recently but what if it was something more than that. George was confused, he had no idea what was going on and it didn’t help that he’d never really been good with girl stuff.
George watched as Angelina walked over to her desk and sat down. She looked and sounded tired and for a moment George felt guilty that he was keeping her up when she could be getting some rest.
“Maybe I should go and let you get some sleep.” It was then that he realised that he’d forgotten in his rush to bring along a batch of Dreamless Sleep potion. He knew that Angelina had been having nightmares, and he couldn’t believe that he’d forgotten about it. “Oh, Merlin! I’m sorry, I forgot the potion!”
George knew that some would be available at the Hospital Wing, but he guessed that Angelina wouldn’t want to go and use up the resources or let on that she was having nightmares - he knew he wouldn’t, and he couldn’t even be honest with Angelina about the state of his nightmares. She’d been honest as far as he was aware. He turned and slowly headed towards the door, not really wanting to leave at all. All he had waiting for him was an empty shop in Hogsmeade and an empty shop and flat in Diagon Alley. He supposed he could always walk around the castle and find Ron or Ginny, or someone else he knew but he was trying to avoid Gryffindor tower and he wasn’t really supposed to be here.
