Hogwarts was probably the last place George wanted to be right now. The memories of the Battle were still fresh in his mind and going back to the place where it all happened was only going to make the memories more vivid and set him back. However, things were different now. McGonagall was dead and no one knew how or why this had happened. The next target could easily be one of his siblings, or one of his friends, and he felt he needed to be there for them. Especially Angelina. He desperately wanted to make sure she was okay.
Standing outside of the school gates, he found himself wishing that he’d thought through this visit beforehand, rather than just leaving at once. An icy chill went up his spine as he tried to work out how he’d get in. He hated to admit it, but he was scared. Whatever monster did that to McGonagall could still be out there, and all he had for protection was the wand clutched tightly in his hand. Fat lot of good that would do him. Before he had time to worry too much, the gates opened and he entered the grounds for the first time in nearly five months. George didn’t stop to think about who or what let him in. This was Hogwarts, anything was possible.
George wasn’t quite sure where Angelina’s office was. Again, it was something he should have asked, or at least thought about before leaving his flat. Guessing that she’d be in Hooch’s old office he headed that way first, deciding that if she wasn’t there he’d get one of the students to show him the way. The school was too quiet and he didn’t like it. Soon he had reached what he believed to be Angelina’s office and with a deep breath he raised his fist and knocked on the door.
