Michael took that as permission to pull her into a proper hug, his arm firm around her shoulder, resting his cheek on the top of her head.
"But he knows we all- well, the ones of us who were here last year, he knows we don't have any great expectations of him, doesn't he? That we're all going to be in this together-"
He shook his head. The chances of everyone thinking in that manner were highly unlikely. Harry was going to be the beacon of hope again.
"Is there anything I...we, any of us, can do to help?" Michael asked after a pause, his lips close enough to her head to stir her hair as he spoke.
