She wasn't ready for the question, hoping that he would just over look it. Her eyes found her feet for a moment as she contemplated just brushing it aside. She wasn't about to tell him the truth, she didn't trust him like that. He was pureblood after all, and all she knew of other purebloods was that they did not look that kindly on such things.
"I had a lot of time to think during the summer. Mother and father left shortly after the battle...but I couldn't fathom going with them." Her hands found the ends of her hair playing with it as she spoke. Each word she found herself slowly looking more at him and less at her feet.
"After everything that happened, here...last year. I found myself wondering...why? Why did it have to happen that way. Why did we hurt people who are just like us. Because the blood that runs thru them? That blood is the same...or at least...I think it is. If it wasn't...we wouldn't be able to do what we can do."
