So that was it? When he was angry with her, Megan had to accept it because she had been the one to end things. But if she was upset about anything, she was still in the wrong? That didn't seem fair at all.
But a part of Megan agreed with it. She was the bad person and she was the reason Stan was miserable and he had every right in the world to hate her. Megan looked down at the bug in the grass and sighed softly before bending over to scoop it up.
Megan was a quick witch and it didn't take her too terribly long to catch up to Stan. "You dropped this," she said and pushed it at him. "It was a gift. I want you to keep it. Maybe it'll come in handy one day." She wasn't yelling and there was nothing harsh in her tone. Megan held her hand out awkwardly, hoping he'd take the bug. "I'm sorry," she said for what she felt like was the hundredth time. "I'm sorry I hurt you and ruined things and I'm sorry I yelled at you and you're right. I'm an awful person. I shouldn't be upset if you have a new girlfriend. I just... you make me feel like I went out of my way to hurt you and I didn't."
