Parvati still laid, half-sprawled on the desk. She had a wand pointed at her and one very angry-looking teacher. She still didn't dare move. Instead she blinked a few times, her eyes adjusting to the light, her jaw left slack.
"I-I," she stammered at first, pushing herself up. "I know." She frowned, suddenly feeling cross about the whole situation again. She crossed her arms over her chest.
"I was in the North Tower, it wasn't as if I had any warning to get back to the Gryffindor Tower before the lockdown, Professor." It was as if Lavender's death had been a warning itself that the castle wasn't safe.
