Luna had few friends, and so she internalized it much quicker than most people. Yesterday, Luna had been upset because Hermione was upset. Although she'd never know for sure, Luna was fairly certain she'd helped the Gryffindor, and was proud for that. Most people thought her weird, spacey, and "looney" but when given the chance, Luna's honest opinions could be a real help. Today, it was Neville's turn for advice. Luna wasn't one to follow the journals, but she had a faint idea of what had happened. The blonde liked to keep track of her friends best she could, she simply just didn't have the attention span for it. Had she paid closer attention, Luna would have realized Neville and Demzela had a thing, which was one of the many reasons Neville was upset. She would have also figured out Fenrir Greyback was lurking around the castle hunting for children. However, Luna had picked up on the fact that Nevile had been attacked and was in the infirmary. In fact, the more she thought about it, Luna realized Neville had been in the hospital wing an awful lot this year. He wasn't having a good year, that was for sure. Neville had always been accident prone, but this was just starting to get out of hand!
Before leaving her dormitory, Luna double and triple checked the basket she was carrying. She had earplugs for the wrackspurts, a butterbeer cork bracelet to help keep the nargles away, a rather thick and scratchy quilt to protect Neville from marklies biting him when he fell asleep, and three chocolate frogs for him to eat when he was sad. It was a very important care package to Luna, but the only good Neville would probably gain was the chocolate. Carrying her basket, Luna skipped down the hall. She nodded at familiar and strange faces, and smiled at friends and professors. Before long, the girl had reached the infirmary. Luna signed in with a disgruntled Madame Pomfrey (because when wasn't she disgruntled?), and quietly walked into the room in which Neville was staying. Normally Luna would have cheerfully greeted her friend, but Pomfrey had insisted Luna keep her voice down, in case noise were to upset her patient. Drawing a chair to Neville's bed, Luna offered a warm smile. "Hey Neville, want to see what I brought you now, or later?"
