Demelza smiled when he pulled her closer, just enjoying the feeling of being in Neville's arms. She didn't know Neville's family, but they would have to be morons not to be proud of the person he was, Demelza was proud of him and she hadn't known him nearly as long.
"Hmm..." Demelza said slowly, thinking, "I don't know that she's going to like me very much. Older, stricter people tend not to... appreciate... my unique-ness." She said with a laugh. If she were going to meet Neville's family (and this of course would happen in the relatively distant future, she would have to make sure not to make her hair red... and possibly find some conservative clothing. "As far as kids go, I think even numbers are good, that way you don't have the dreaded middle child syndrome and some one always has another one to play with." She told him with a nod.
"We'll see them again." she said reassuringly. She had to believe it. She missed her family something awful, and unfortunately for Racheline, that meant Demelza watched her sister very carefully. "This is going to sound silly, but before the fog, sometimes I walked along the edge of the bubble and hoped that she would just walk down the path, I mean, I don't want her to enter the bubble, but I think I'd feel better if I just... saw her, you know? Its silly. Beside, there hasn't been anyone getting sick, has there? Maybe the virus has cured itself and the bubble will be lifted soon?" Demelza tried her best not to sound hopefully, but a tiny bit slipped past.
