Romilda was not going to complain about how tight and snug Ioan's arms were around her. She didn't ever want him to let go. Burying her face in his tee-shirt and grinning so brightly her cheeks hurt, Romilda couldn't remember a point in time in her life that she was happier. She was beyond thrilled. Beyond anything she had every felt before.
The emotion in his voice went straight to her heart and Romilda blinked quickly to keep herself from crying and making a fool out of herself. "I promise I won't," she said against the soft cotton of his shirt. "I promise I'll never leave like that again." She couldn't. She needed to be with him too badly. Even without knowing why, there had been a part of her heart missing. Romilda hadn't had the memories to back it up, but she knew Ioan was part of her.
Pulling back to look at him, eyes shining, Romilda smiled. "I love you so much. I missed you. I missed knowing how much I loved you."
