Forcing a smile, Hermione raised her gaze from the book and pinned Romilda with it. It wasn't the girl's fault she wanted to keep informed. Hermione knew this. And in Romilda's situation, she'd want to be apprised of everything, through every step of the process. Still, whenever she spoke to anyone these days, she felt ready to snap at them, to lash out any way she could.
Hermione took a deep breath and nodded, making the smile a touch more genuine. "Yes. According to this book, the memories were taken from you. That means that returning them to you would be most easily done if we knew who had done it. It would also be a lot safer as the memories would be most likely to be intact. But since we don't know, we can't ask them to return them to you. With me so far?"
