Oliver stared at her, her words echoing in his brain. 'The first person you fall in love with isn't going to be who you end up with.' Did she really feel that way? Were he and Percy doomed to not work? He didn't want anyone else. Of course if Percy wanted to screw around with Anthony and that girl and... old people then it wasn't going to work out, but he didn't want it to not work out.
He stood up a bit straighter, "I don't lose Quidditch matches," he said firmly.
