Since her first year at Hogwarts Padma had enjoyed one particular table in the library. It was along the stacks near the Charms section and next to a window. Padma always went for that table when it was time to study and today was no exception. It took a bit longer to collect the books she needed without a wand, but Padma managed. Several stacks of books lined the floor around the table and Padma dove into studying.
It was so nice to lose herself in her studies. Padma would never tire of thinking or trying to understand magic. And now she was able to focus solely on the theory behind all magic which gave her a better understanding of how to preform it, if she ever got her magical gifts back. Regardless, Padma knew she was going to have to perform exceptionally well on her written exams to make up for being unable to complete the practical portions.
Flipping through a rather large text on Viking Runes, Padma's eyes flicked back to her journal. It wasn't like Parvati to be so cross with her and Padma couldn't hide the fact that it had upset her. It almost seemed as though Parvati cared more about Lavender than her own sister. Normally Padma would swear that was ridiculous, but at the moment it appeared to be very true.
A tear splashed down onto the page and Padma wiped it quickly.
