Kevin's arms wrapped tightly around Anthony, as though that might chase away these memories. Though it was likely that all that was going to happen was that Ant wouldn't be able to breathe. Still, he held his friend tight against his chest. At this point, Kevin believed it was quite likely that the professors would have to pry Anthony from his arms in order to put him in isolation.
"They'll fade," he said softly. "Just like a nightmare. They're really powerful now, but after a while they won't be so bad, you'll remember how to think about other things, too."
A hand left Anthony's back for the sheer purpose of combing the wet hair back from his face. It didn't do much good with the water beating down against them, but it did offer the smell of Ant's shampoo. It was a small comfort to be surrounded by something so familiar. At least to Kevin, it was.
