Taff was getting a more creeped out by the second by Ioan's slow and precise movements. And that smile. That smile didn't help either. He made to stand up, keeping close to the wall. He wanted to pull out his wand, just to have it out because it would make him feel better, but he knew that would appear as nothing less than a threat.
And then Ioan started talking, and Taff became very aware that there was only one door, and Ioan was standing in front of it. "I didn't--" He started, but then that would've been a bold-faced lie. It was no secret that he'd tortured Ant. But it wasn't vicious!
"I didn't want to!" Constantine insisted, his back against the wall, "You think I did it on purpose? And..I didn't attack him! You don't know anything about me and Ant!"
He hated being put on the spot, and now he was scared. He didn't have Tristan to protect him. He didn't have anyone. He was alone and trapped, and that was terrifying. "I'm not a Death Eater!" He added sharply, "Who do you think you are? It's between me and him!" Aggression was a good enough defence right?
