Sally's eyes shot open from her dream. That was too realistic. She could feel every kick in her stomach, every wound on her back, her leg was still throbbing painfully. She was so incredibly sore, but in a completely different way from her dream with Harold. That had been a good kind of sore, and as Sally attempted to get out of the bed, she let out a gasp of pain at how sore her body was. She hadn't looked down at her body, keeping her eyes closed seemed like a good idea. She walked slowly to the bathroom, her leg hurting so much that she was forced to rest all her weight on her left leg, and glanced at the mirror. What she saw terrified her. She looked exactly like she had three years ago.
Her right eye was black, her lips swollen, bruises littered down her arms and legs, and she could feel the back of her shirt sticking to her. She turned slowly and shuddered as she saw that her scars had been opened somehow. Sally shook her head and changed as quickly as she could. She needed to get to the hospital wing. She needed to avoid Wayne. That thought made her pause for a moment. She couldn't take seeing Wayne right now. He had beaten her because she had lied about being gay. Sally wiped away a tear as she pulled on a loose t shirt and made her way to the common room, making sure her hair was covering her face so that no one could see it. She made it to the hallway before she could hear someone behind her, and she hoped they wouldn't notice that her scars were slowly bleeding through.
