Oliver had enjoyed himself, it was strange to see a more traditional version of Christmas since his family hadn't really done those kind of things. When they returned to the room he felt like he must be two sizes bigger because his pants were digging into his stomach.
He was most happy about seeing Percy look so beautifully happy. That had been a real pleasure.
"That was quite good," he agreed easily at Percy's question but he was sure it had been rhetorical anyway.
But then Percy was grabbing a silver package and asking him if he wanted to open it. "I would like to..." he murmured, "I..." he sighed, "I couldn't find you anything good enough." He felt guilty about that.
He was pretty stupid not to even think of getting his new boyfriend to be a gift. But by the time it had even been mentioned it had been too late to look.
