He looked at her, longer this time but still not making any eye contact. "It's not stupid Hermione!" he had started yelling. "Think about it. They're probably not going to find a way to fix this, it'll be a lot easier for them to find a way to prevent it and just let the ones who've lost their magic fucking deal with it."
He pulled at his hair again and made a frustrated noise. "Don't you see! I'm doing this for you!" he started pacing again, "When this is all over I'm leaving Hermione. I'm going to the muggle world and I'm not coming back. I know what it's like to loose people, to not know where they are or if they're okay. I don't want to make you all hurt like that. If you just leave me alone now then by the time we get out of here you'll have forgotten all about me. That's what I want!"
By the time he finished talking he had stopped yelling but there was still a harsh tone in his voice. He looked at her again, not specifically seeking her eyes but not avoiding them either.
