When Tristan had taken off for her office, Aurora had naturally followed. She was not going to be held responsible for anything either of them did, especially in her own rooms. Lingering outside the door, she listened to their exchange before the yells faded into something much more intimate.
An odd feeling of bitterness washed over Aurora. Not very long before that moment, Tristan had said he hoped she had someone to care enough about her to look after her. Normally a thing like that wouldn't bother her, but faced with two people who obviously loved each other... well.
Opening the door, Aurora marched in and folded her arms over her chest. "If you two must insist on doing that," she said with all the coldness back in her voice. "Then I really must ask that you do it elsewhere and not defile my office." What feelings she had for the Rivers brothers seemed to vanish almost instantly.
