Well. This was nice... so very nice to feel the warmth of the sun upon her skin. Winter really wasn't very pleasant and it had all seemed so much darker after her magic was lost and after... whoever that had been. But it wasn't dark here and Astoria appreciated it. It made her smile a bit and she thought she hadn't done that in quite a while. It felt good.
So maybe it was the sunshine as well that made her strangely sociable. She thought nothing of the Victorian family sharing a picnic. Although the food reminded Astoria that she was a bit hungry. No matter, however. She walked towards the dock, where the sun seemed to shine most brightly. There was a figure there and Astoria was curious. She thought she recognized him but couldn't remember a name.
"Nice day, isn't it?" she asked, staring down at him from where she stood. Something in the back of her mind reminded her that strangers were a bad idea. But this was safer than a castle corridor, certainly.
