WHO: Astoria & Sally WHAT: Astoria-Sally Time! WHEN: Late Wednesday night WHERE: Leaving the Hospital Wing RATING/STATUS: Low/Complete
Astoria drummed her fingers against her collarbone, impatiently waiting for Madame Pomfrey to finish her final check up before she could get the bloody hell out of the Hospital Wing. Four days ended up feeling like an eternity. And her magic was completely gone. Just like that. She couldn't wrap her mind around the fact, even though her own wand felt completely useless in her hand. So she stuck the bit of walnut in her bag, intent on not looking at it ever again. It was probably best not to think about it for now. She wasn't sure she could accept it if she did. No matter what people said Astoria knew this would change everything.
It was nice to at least feel healthy. The rest had done her a lot of good. She'd slept a lot so although it was late she wasn't actually tired. Still, heading to the Slytherin dorms was the last thing she wanted to do. Daphne was bound to be around somewhere and she couldn't face her. She couldn't face any of them, knowing she was no better than a squib now. Although really, she'd never been close to any of them in the first place, except for Sorin.
She sighed and headed down the corridor, trying to think of somewhere to go. But the sight of a familiar figure stopped her. Astoria was a bit wary. After all, she hadn't exactly been the nicest person to Sally last time they had spoken. And she still wasn't feeling very nice. But there was no avoiding her friend.
