Ioan turned to lead the way up the stairs, assuming Anthony would follow along on his own. He listened as he climbed, smiling to himself that his friend had found someone he liked. Relationships were tricky, even before the war. It helped to have someone who'd been through similar things and Ioan was sure Justin was that person. He'd seen him around school and always heard good things regarding the boy. Not to mention the fact that Anthony was right: he was good-looking.
"I'm glad, mate," he said quietly as he stopped outside the door to his room. He unlocked it and let the two of them in.
The room was small, but tidy. Ioan's trunk sat at the foot of the bed, a few things strewn over the top of it, like extra quills and a t-shirt and boxers for him to sleep in. There was a desk by the window with a straight-backed chair, which he took, leaving the bed open for Anthony to get comfortable while they talked.
"So, you said 'open relationship'. You know me, I've never been in a lot of them. What exactly does that mean? And if I'm sticking my nose in too far, feel free to tell me to bugger off," he said with a laugh.
