John often hated the common room and the people in it. Few of them were his friends, and the ones who were his friends usually were annoyed with him about something. John just didn't want to put up with it tonight. That Robins chit was 'ranting' about him in her journal. That in itself wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing, but with the run-in he had with her the day before, it just wasn't on.
He was sneaking down to the kitchens to ask his favorite house elf, Dippy or Dancy (he could never remember the blasted creature's name, but it always came to him when he came to the kitchens), for a piece of that really good looking cake that was available at dinner but he didn't get to enjoy because his housemates took the last slice before he got a chance.
He knew it was against the rules, but he didn't really care. It's not like they could expel him, really, not with the way things were going. He was being cautious, however; when he heard a noise from down the hallway, he turned and ran. He ran until he saw a person in front of him. He stopped quickly, and she turned to face him from the other direction.
Robins. "You." He said with a sneer. "What are you doing down here?"
