Astoria would have thought him silly for thinking such things. Everyone knew the virus seemed to be unstoppable, it was just a cruel twist of fate that it had gotten to Julian. It wasn't like this was preventable, especially not in the quarantine. More people were bound to get it before it was lifted and Astoria found some twisted comfort in that. They wouldn't be the only ones. They weren't already, though she didn't think she could handle the others if they kept telling her that "it wasn't so bad". Because it was really bad.
She did sympathize with him, however. Hiding away always seemed like the best option, it was what she usually did, but she didn't think she could spend the rest of her time here in the Hospital Wing. But she supposed it was different for her... most of her friends already knew. And he had told no one yet. Besides that, she still couldn't fathom leaving the magical world. She wasn't certain she was strong enough to leave yet she wasn't sure if she could stay either. It was a dilemma she didn't want to contemplate.
"Well aren't you sweet, love." Honestly, Astoria was surprised he had agreed so easily. But then again she'd also been surprised when he had set foot in the hospital wing. Julian wasn't exactly being himself. It was hard to be, considering.
"But I do appreciate it." She paused. "Well be fine, yeah?" Astoria wasn't sure she believed. She needed to hear a yes. She would have to start believing soon enough anyway. At least she'd have a friend there with her.
