“Come on, you’re being a bit hard on yourself, Ang, I wouldn’t go as far as saying you were that bad!” George joked.
He could feel that her body was tense, and cursed the fact that she’d accepted this job, and that this was all going to be a secret so they’d have to act normally. “It would be so much easier if you could. When we were at home, we used to apparate everywhere once we passed the test. Used to drive mum mad. Apparated on Ron’s knees once.” George grinned at the memory. In his defence, it was harder to apparate in the dark and it wasn’t as though he’d apparated on some little old lady doing her shopping like Charlie had.
There was a sound just outside the portrait hole and George swore under his breath as Angelina sat up, moving away from him. With difficulty, George attempted to put on a serious face, and nodded as she spoke. It took all his effort not to burst out laughing at her attempt to pretend to have been having a normal conversation. “Oh really? That’s very interesting.” He then lowered his voice to barely audible. “Back to yours then?”
