It hadn't taken a lot of convincing for Fred to get Peeves to pull a prank on someone. All he had to do really was to whisper the idea to Peeves before the poltergeist was off filling a balloon with water from the lake. Not long after Peeves had taken off, Fred found him lying (well, not really) in wait for his victim, one rather large balloon in hand. Fred smirked and stayed in the shadows, mostly transparent for the moment.
A dark haired girl appeared at the far end of the corridor, and Fred watched as Peeves zoomed towards her and dropped the balloon on her, then took off cackling. Fred couldn't help let out a soft laugh, just barely audible.
