"I'll be the decider of that," Penny retorted teasingly as she headed inside the coffee shop and into a bright, bustling cafe. The scent of frying food contrasted pleasantly with the sight of currant laden buns and sky high cakes.
Sliding into one of the faded leather seats, Penny reached for the menu and began flipping through it, mainly to give her hands something to do. She almost always had the same thing in these sorts of cafes ; when she'd lived as a muggle they'd sometimes been her only form of human contact.
"What would you like?" she asked in a breezy tone of voice before sliding it back across the table. There was so much she wanted to ask - so much that she needed to know to fill a part of her that was missing. But she couldn't ask him ; not now, not so soon into meeting him again.
He might have changed ; he had been stuck in the Ministry under He Who Shall Not Be Named and was now working in his brothers shops. Years had passed since they'd done this ; both had changed. He might not even be the same Percy she'd known.
