"When I was fifteen people, grown ups, made me promises, told me they'd make everything ok for me and you if I did things for them. Helped them out a bit. If I was a good boy everything would be ok. So you know, Taff, I've done some things too. Things I'm not proud of and things that weren't nice but you don't see me going around planting flowers and kissing babies, do you?
