Theodore had crawled after him, and now on all fours had to look back over his shoulder at Jamie. "Please don't be," Theodore said, and he couldn't help letting his eyes wander Jamie's body, especially below the waist. He realized he was humming appreciatively and stopped himself. "I...all right, I guess I am, a little bit, but...I like you a lot, Jamie." He wished Jamie knew just how much that statement meant to him. "And I don't want you to be nervous. You don't have to be. You don't have to impress me or any of that stupid stuff boys think they have to do for girls. All you have to do is be yourself." He stretched out on his stomach, kicking his legs back and forth a little. "Just you, that's all I want."
