Tristan was already aware that he'd made a little bit of a faux pas with what he was saying, but he wasn't the most tactful of people. He lifted a shoulder in a shrug and sat down again.
"By all means, if there's ever anything else, owl me," he said with sincerity. "And we can have another drink. It's no problem."
He crossed his hands on the table and kept his eyes on Dennis. "And thank you. For saying you'll look out for Taffy. He's a good boy. He'll listen too if you wanted..." Tristan sat back, not wanting to put any pressure on Dennis to say or do anything more. "It was nice meeting you."
