Dennis couldn't help but wonder how they got Taff from Tristan and Constantine but he didn't ask, he just listened. He met Tristan's gaze as the other finished and somehow ... he did need to hear that. He needed to be reminded but now he responded a little bit angrily, "Nothing ... there's no way dying would ever, ever make his life better," he said fiercely, "even if it meant saving the world."
Colin had done the right thing, going to fight like he had, but Dennis was still a little angry with him for it. He was especially upset that Colin hadn't taken him with. His hands clenched into fists and he tried hard to reign his anger in. He didn't want to take his emotion out on Tristan ... again.
He looked away, letting his breath out in a heavy sigh. It was so hard to focus these days. To pull it together.
"So..." he tried to change the subject again, to pull his thoughts away from the negatives, "why... why Taff?"
