Dennis's shoulders lifted as he was touched, but then he nodded, "Sure," he smiled a little at Tristan.
He felt bad that he'd been behaving like such a prat. He hated being like this. He hoped by the time they were done Tristan would agree to take Colin's things. At least, his camera stuff. Dennis didn't really want it around. It would kill Colin to know it wasn't being used and Dennis... well, he just didn't have the gift for photography that Colin had had. All Dennis really wanted to do these days was become an Auror, so he could kill as many Death Eaters as he could.
No... not kill. Stop.
He had to stop letting his thoughts wander. It wasn't healthy.
It was weird. Walking into the bar with Tristan, a stranger... because he wanted to talk about Colin. He hadn't wanted to talk about Colin to anybody since Colin passed. It was just weird to him to feel this urge to talk. To share.
"So ... um... tell me about your brother?" Probably not the best conversation starter, Dennis realized just after he'd asked but in a way he wanted to hear it.
He wanted to be reminded how much an older brother loved his sibling. Oh, he knew Colin loved him but he also knew Colin left him. Left him and went and got himself killed.
