As soon as the medi-witch started asking questions, Angelina understood. Verity was scared she had the virus! Which meant she had been trying to protect Angelina with her irrational yelling - the sweetheart. Ang smiled and shook her head. Verity was sweet, but she was a fool. Being a staff member had reinforced one thing in Angelina - she wasn't the most important person on the planet. Other people came before Ang, especially when losing her magic wasn't the worst thing that could happen. In fact, out of all the people, Angelina was probably one who would be least affected. She could still play quidditch, and she could still coach. Appleby might not have her back, but she'd always have Hogwarts.
"Oh Verity," Angelina soothed, "you shouldn't have. It's likely just a cold, really. It's flu season, do you know what that means?" Ang would have liked to hug the girl, but she also knew how tense Verity was. For now Angelina would keep her distance.
"I'll be waiting her, okay? Go have whatever tests done, I'll wait for as long as it takes." Angelina would stick to her word, regardless if Verity knew that or not. It wasn't like she had anything better to do - and being worried about someone else was much better than worrying about her own problems.
