Getting as close to Romilda as he could, Ioan wrapped his arms around her and held her close to his chest. He didn't want to frighten her by clutching her too tightly, but he didn't bother shutting the curtains around his bed either. There would be no sleeping for him this night. And he considered asking Romilda just to move her things from Gryffindor Tower, because letting her go back alone was not an attractive idea. All that could wait for morning, however.
Ioan pressed reassuring kisses to her cheeks, her forehead, her chin, and finally her lips. His hands rubbed her back and her upper arms, creating friction and warmth.
"Don't think about it, love. Shh," he soothed. "You're all right now and I'll not let anyone harm you. If I'd known, I..." he made a little growling sound in the back of his throat. "Sleep if you can, my girl. I'm here. I'll look out for you, yeah?"
